History

The ‘NASTY’ type T/A was constructed and presented by the BOAT SERVICE LTD A/S OSLO in the MANDAL of Norway. The torpedo boat ‘TOXOTIS’ P-228 is one of six of this type purchased from Norwegian shipyards. Its receipt by the Norwegian shipyards was made on MAY 31, 1966 by Lieutenant N. Betsis. After completing the staff training, ‘TOXOTIS’ departed for Greece. It arrived at the Naval Station Of Salamis on October 1, 1967 along with ‘NAYKRATOYSA’ and since then it has been a unit of the Greek Navy. The ‘NASTY’ type T/A, which constituted the horticultural decoration of naval torpedo boats, were the first vessels to be build, after the war, at the behest of the Greek navy and at the expense of the Greek government.
