Rear Admiral Christos Skeparnakos was born in Athens on 12th April 1966. He entered HN Naval Academy in 1984 as a Naval Cadet and graduated in 1988, receiving his commission as Ensign Engineer.

Ranks and promotions : Lieutenant J.G. 1991, Lieutenant 1995, Lt Commander 2000, Commander 2006, Captain 2011, Commodore 2019, Rear Admiral 2023.

Assignments at sea and operational commands, included tours of duty aboard Fram Class Destroyers, fast patrol boats, LCV ship and Hellenic Navy Aviation Command (S-70 helicopters squadron and command).

He graduated National War College in 2007.

Foreign assignment at NATO CC MAR Naples, N4 Division (Infrastructure & Logistics), from 2007 to 2010.

Assignments ashore, included tours of duty at Hellenic Navy General Staff, specifically HN Aviation Technical Support & Logistics Branch (D4), Armaments Deputy Director, D Branch Director (fleet logistics and engineering) and Armaments Director (current assignment).

He has been awarded all the decorations, medals and commendations foreseen for his postings and ranks.

Rear Admiral Christos Skeparnakos, is married to Aggeliki Malatesta. They have two daughters.
