From Tuesday 16 April to Wednesday 17 April 2024, the Maritime Security Conference (MSC 24) , which is organized by the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), was held in Bahrain. The Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff, Rear Admiral George Floros HN attended the conference as the representative of the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff.
The CMF is a multinational force, which was formed by initiative of the USA, with the aim of promoting security, stability and prosperity in the wider Persian Gulf region and the Indian Ocean.
The purpose of the MSC 24 conference was to inform participants about the actions of the force and the joint management of the new maritime security challenges within its area of responsibility.
