On Friday, October 3rd, 2025, a change of command ceremony was held at the Taranto Naval Base in Italy. The handover of duties of the Operation IRINI Force Commander at Sea (COM FHQ) from Italian Rear Admiral Alessandro Di Biasi to Commodore Spyridon Pollatos HN, took place in the presence of the Italian Operation IRINI Commander, Rear Admiral Marco Casapieri.
Commodore Spyridon Pollatos HN will perform his duties for the next six months, with HS ELLI serving as the flagship. He will be supported by the Operation’s Force Headquarters (FHQ), which includes Greek staff officers.
