From Monday, February 17, to Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras HN, visited the International Defence Material Exhibitions “IDEX & NAVDEX 2025”, held in Abu Dhabi, at the invitation of the Commander of the United Arab Emirates Navy, Major General Hamid Mohammad Abdullah Al Rumaithi.
As part of his visit to the IDEX 2025 International Exhibition, he attended the inauguration of the Greek Pavilion, which was officially opened by the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikos Dendias. He also had the opportunity to visit the booths of defense technology companies and receive updates on developments in naval technology and shipbuilding.
Subsequently, the Minister of National Defense and the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff visited HS HYDRA, which docked at the port of Abu Dhabi as part of her participation in the International Naval Defence Exhibition “NAVDEX 2025’’.
Additionally, on the sidelines of the International Exhibition, the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff met with the Commander of the United Arab Emirates Navy, Major General Hamid Mohammad Abdullah Al Rumaithi, where they discussed issues of mutual interest. He also met with the Ambassador of Greece to Abu Dhabi, Mr. Antonis Alexandridis.
