Technical Characteristics
History
- Tug ship HS IASON (Α-424) has been built by the ANASTASIADIS – TSORTANIDIS COMPANY in Perama, Attica.
- It was launched in March 1978, it has been received by the Hellenic Navy on the 5th of May in 1978 and has since been assigned to the auxiliary ships of the Navy’s Logistics Command, remaining in commission to this day in Souda Naval Base .
- HS IASON is characterized as an offshore tug boat and is suitable for any work in and out of port.
- Her name comes from the mythical hero IASON who led the Argonautic expedition.
