The representation of the shield consists of an anchor, a propeller, a compass on the upper left (due to permanent mooring at YTEL) and a cartographic illustration of the island of Leros with a nautical wind vane on the lower right.
Characteristics
History
The ship belonged to the category of small water carriers. It was built in Hamburg – Germany in 1963 for the German Navy. Received, by an echelon committee, of the Hellenic Navy on 28-2-91. Official receipt, hoisting of the Greek Flag and inclusion in the P.N. under the name Y/F TRICHONIS it was made on 3-9-91. The ship was given the name TRICHONIS from the homonymous lake located in the Prefecture of Etoloakarnania. On 27-08-21 it changed type to PF with the name IRIDANOS.
