Rear Admiral Georgios Stavroulakis (GRC Navy) was born in 1969. He joined the Hellenic Naval Academy in 1987 and was commissioned as Ensign of the Hellenic Navy in 1991. 

During 1993-1994, he was selected and trained as a Navy Seal in USA, followed by various SOF specialty courses in Greece and abroad. Throughout his career in Navy SOF, he has participated in numerous training programs across multiple fields of expertise of Naval Special Warfare and has been appointed to various posts within the Hellenic Navy Special Warfare Command, including, platoon commander, Operational Training Branch Chief, Operations Director, Chief of Staff and Commanding Officer.

His service includes assignments on board surface units of the Hellenic Navy, mainly frigates and destroyers, as Air Controller/ADO/PWO, Communications Officer, Director of Operations and as Commanding Officer of HS ARMATOLOS.  

He has been posted in Operations Division of the Hellenic Fleet HQ, in NATO Special Operations Forces Command (SOFCOM) and in HNDGS Special Warfare Command (SWC), as J2 Director, COS and since January 2025, as DCOM. 

He is a graduate of the Supreme Joint War College and the Hellenic National Defense College. Additionally, he holds an MSc in Information Technology Management from the US Naval Postgraduate School (NPS).

He is married and has a son and a daughter.
