From Sunday 30 May to Friday 04 June 2021, the Fast Attack Craft (FAC) HS ROUSSEN participated in the multinational exercise “ADRION LIVEX 2021” in the Adriatic Sea region, held by Slovenia. Units from the Slovenian, Italian, Croatian, Albanian and Montenegrin navies also took part in the exercise.
In addition, Hellenic Navy’s personnel manned the Commanding Staff of the exercise, while the Chief of Staff of the Hellenic Fleet Command, Commodore Christos Degiannis, attended the Day of Distinguished Visitors (DV Day), on June 4, 2021 at the port of Koper.
As part of the exercise, serials of Surface warfare, Communications, Search and Rescue, and Maritime Interdiction Operations were executed.
The exercise raised the level of interoperability and cooperation between seafarers of the Adriatic and Ionian Initiative members, with an emphasis on addressing security challenges in the wider Adriatic and Ionian Seas.
