On Thursday, February 25th 2021, the first S-70 helicopter was transferred to the facilities of AEROSERVICES S.A. company, in the context of the implementation of the recently signed Transnational Agreement between Greece and USA, referred to the Follow On Support (FOS) of the Hellenic Navy helicopters.
The support of the SIKORSKY helicopters of the Hellenic Navy will be carried out by a certified domestic company (AEROSERVICES S.A.) through FMS (Foreign Military Sales) funds, including repairs, inspections, maintenance and upgrade works, in addition to the ones performed in the Hellenic Navy’s own facilities.
This process significantly strengthens the support provided to the helicopters of the Hellenic Navy, while ensuring their high operational availability and the acquisition of know-how by domestic agencies in specialized repair projects.
