From April 17 to April 20 2015 the Chief of the Australian Navy, Vice Admiral Timothy W. Barrett paid an official visit to Greece, following an invitation extended by the HNGS Chief, Vice Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis HN.
During his stay, the Australian Navy Chief discussed issues of mutual interest with the HNGS Chief. Additionally, he visited the fleet HQ’s, as well as several warships. Last but not least, in the context of his visit he attended the annual memorial ceremony on Lemnos island, honoring the allied troops fallen during Gallipolis Campaign.
