21st International Sea Power Symposium

       From September 16 to 19, the HNGS Chief Vice Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis HN, attended the 21st International Sea Power Symposium in New Port Rhode Island, USA. The Sea Power Symposium is the most significant convention globally. It is held in an annual base, alternately in the USA and Italy.

       The purpose of the Symposium is to build a forum, reinforcing the co-operation among Navies, on subjects of mutual interest. The main point of this year’s Symposium was under the title “Global Solution to Common Maritime Challenges” and held the participation of 113 countries and 72 Naval Chiefs.

       In the margin of the Symposium the HNGS Chief discussed issues of mutual interest with Admiral Mark Ferguson USN, Commander of the Joint Force Command Naples – JFC. Additionaly. Vice Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis HN had the opportunity to meet other counterparts.
