From Sunday October the 22nd to Tuesday October the 24th, the HNGS Chief, Vice Admiral Nikolaos Tsounis HN paid an official visit to Israel, following a formal invitation extended by the Chief of the Israeli Navy, Rear Admiral Eli Sharvit.
During his visit, the HNGS Chief met with his counterpart and discussed issues of mutual interest.
The HNGS Chief had the opportunity to visit the Haifa Naval Base and the submarine INS TANIN. He also participated in a short trip with the corvette INS EILAT.
The HNGS Chief had the opportunity to visit companies of the Israeli defense industry and to be informed about the latest technological advancements.
Furthermore, the HNGS Chief met the Greek Ambassador in Israel, Mr Konstantinos Bikas, and paid a visit to the Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
