Surveillance Vessels Command

The Surveillance Vessels Command is subordinate to the Fleet Headquarters (FHQ), with the following history:

It was established on November 29, 2013, where it was decided to abolish the Gunboat Administration (DK/F) and establish the Surveillance Vessel Administration (DPE), based at the Salamina Naval Station (NS). The subordination of the Gunboats of the Gunboat Administration (DK/F) was transferred to the Surveillance Vessels Administration (DPE) as well as the transfer of the Permanently Dispersed Coastal Patrol (PP) of the Fast Vessels Administration (DTS) to the Surveillance Vessels Administration (DPE).

Mission

The mission of the Surveillance Vessels Command (SCM), and therefore of its Commander, is to act within the limits of the orders and directions of the Fleet Headquarters (SC), for the organization, management, operational training, monitoring of the maintenance of the vessels of the and in general their readiness and preparation for war, as well as the undertaking of missions in peace, crisis or war, with the aim of contributing to the fulfillment of the missions assigned from time to time to the Fleet Headquarters (AS). The command of the staff is carried out by the Ensign, who must prepare the necessary information for the decision-making by the Commander and help him in the fulfillment of his mission.
