On Tuesday 25 to Thursday 27 of March 2014, HNGS Chief Vice Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis HN, visited Qatar. In the context of his visit HNGS Chief attended the 4th International Maritime Defence Exhibition & Conference – DIMDEX and participated in the Naval Chiefs Conference with theme “The Strategic Importance of the Preservation of the Global Economy”. During his visit, Vice Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis HN had the opportunity to meet Chief of Qatar Navy General Staff , Vice Admiral Mohammed Nasser Mubarak Al-Mohanadiand discuss issues of mutual interest with his counterparts.
Additionally, Vice Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis HN met the Greek Ambassador in Qatar Mr Ioannis Metaxas and in the context of the aforementioned Exhibition he also visited HS PSARA, which remained at the port of Doha, Qatar, from 24th to 28th March 2014.
Last but not least, HS PSARA, which participates in the operation “ATALANTA”, conducted an under way training with a Qatari Naval Unit on 28th of March.
