On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras HN, paid an official visit to France at the invitation of his French counterpart, Admiral Christophe Cluzel.
The Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff was officially welcomed by his French counterpart at the French Navy Headquarters. The two Navy Chiefs subsequently held discussions on matters of mutual interest and explored opportunities to further enhance cooperation between the two Navies.
During his visit to France, the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff attended EURONAVAL 2026, the international naval defence exhibition, as well as the inauguration of the pavilion of the Hellenic Manufacturers of Defence Materiel Association (SEKPY). He also visited the stands of defence industry companies, where he was briefed on the latest developments in naval technology and shipbuilding.
