From Wednesday, July 25th to Thursday, July 26th 2018, the First Sea Lord Admiral Sir Philip Jones RN paid an official visit to Greece, following an invitation extended by the Chief of the HNGS, Vice Admiral Nicholaos Tsounis HN.
The First Sea Lord visited the Hellenic Navy HQ, where he met with the Chief of the HNGS, discussed issues of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation and was informed of the HNGS activities.
He also visited the PALASKAS Training Center, where he was welcomed by the Commandant of the Naval Education Command Rear Admiral Efthymios Mikros HN and had a tour of the facilities of the Damage Control School.
Lastly, he visited the Hellenic Fleet HQ in Salamis Naval Base, where he was welcomed by the Commander in Chief of the Hellenic Fleet, Vice Admiral Ioannis Pavlopoulos HN and was informed of the Hellenic Fleet’s activities.
