Change of Operation EUNAVFOR IRINI Force Commander at Sea by Greece

On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, a ceremony for the change of Operation EUNAVFOR IRINI Force Commander at Sea (COM FHQ) took place on board HS AEGEAN, at Souda Naval Base.

Rear Admiral Spyridon Pollatos HN handed over command to Italian Rear Admiral Bielli. The ceremony was held in the presence of the Italian Operation Commander of IRINI, Rear Admiral Marco Casapieri.
