Royal Navy’s First Sea Lord Visit at HNGS

On Tuesday, June 22nd , the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff (HNGS), Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis HN, received in his office the First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff of the Royal Navy, Admiral Tony Radakin CB ADC, where they had the opportunity to discuss issues of mutual interest and cooperation.

Subsequently, the Chief of the HNGS paid a visit at “HMS KENT”, in the port of Piraeus, where he represented the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff in a guided tour. Vice Admiral Petrakis was briefed on the capabilities of the ship, in the presence of the Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, Mrs. Kate Smith and his British counterpart.

During  “HMS KENT” stay at Piraeus Port, where she sailed on Friday, June 18 2021, the Commanding Officer of “HMS KENT” Commander Matt J. Sykes paid a visit at the Aegean Sea Naval Command’s  headquarters, where he was received by Commodore S. Dimopoulos HN.
