On Tuesday, January 23th 2018, the HNGS Chief Vice Admiral Nikolaos Tsounis HN, met the Rear Admiral Walid Mohamed Ibrahim Shaltout, Commander of the Northern Fleet of Egypt, at his office. During the meeting, issues of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation were discussed.
On Monday, January 22th 2018, the Commander of the Northern Fleet of Egypt, visited the Hellenic Fleet Command Headquarters, where he met with the Commander in chief of Hellenic Fleet, Vice Admiral Ioannis Pavlopoulos HN.
The Egyptian’s Northern Fleet Commander has been in Greece with the Egyptian training ship ENS SHALATEIN (230), which visited the port of Piraeus from January 22th until January 25th, in the context of the Naval Academy of Egypt training trip.
