On Friday the 22nd of January 2021, the 5th workshop for the “Upgrade of Maritime Surveillance” Program of the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) was hosted by the Hellenic Navy General Staff (HNGS). Greece acting as the leading nation of the program is cooperating with France, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Bulgaria, Ireland, Cyprus and Portugal.
The workshop was attended by representatives from the participating countries, the European Defense Agency (EDA), the Hellenic Ministry of Defense/GDDIA-GDNDPIR and the Hellenic National Defense General Staff. The conversations were focused on implementation issues and highlighted the program’s dynamics.
