On Thursday 10 February 2022, the 12th Round of Navy to Navy Staff Talks, between the Hellenic and the French Navy, was held in Athens. Captain Vasilios Efstathiou HN, Head of HNGS Plans and Policy Department, hosted the French delegation, led by Vice-admiral Christophe LUCAS, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff for International Relations.
The talks were exceptionally constructive and contributed to further strengthening long-standing relations between the two countries’ Navies, thus both sides debated on topics of mutual interest, just as mentioned in the “Accord for the Foundation of Strategic Partnership on the Cooperation in Defense and Security», signed between Greece and France.
On the sideline of the talks, the Chief of the French Delegation had a brief meeting with the Deputy Director HNGS, Rear Admiral Georgios Kampourakis HN.
