From Monday April 29 to Friday May 10, 2024, the HS HERACLES and the HS EVROPI, participated in the multinational mine warfare exercise “SPANISH MINEX 2024”, which was conducted in the Iberian Sea, as units of the Allied Anti-Mine Warfare Force Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 2 (SNMCMG2).
This is an “INVITEX” type exercise, organized by the Spanish Navy with participation of personnel and units from Greece, Belgium, United States of America, SNMCMG2 and European Maritime Force (EUROMARFOR).
The objective of the exercise was the design and execution of anti-mine operations in mined areas and port entrances. This exercise contributed to the maintenance and enhancement of operational readiness, as well as the promotion of cooperation among participants in an allied context.
