On Monday, May 30, 2022, units of the Hellenic Armed Forces, participated in a Passing Exercise (PASSEX) with naval units of Standing NATO Maritime Group Two-SNMG2 in the sea area, southeast of Karpathos island. The exercise was conducted within the framework of international cooperations of the Hellenic Armed Forces in accordance with the HNDGS planning.
The Fast Attack Craft HS GRIGOROPOULOS, Spanish Frigate ESPS BLAS DE LEZO, Spanish General Support Ship ESPS CANTABRIA along with two F-4 fighting aircrafts and one EMB-145 AEW&C of the Hellenic Air Force (HAF), carried out a large set of serials mainly focused on Air Defence (ADEX), communications, targeting and advanced maneuvering.
The exercise contributed to the enhancement of operational readiness, combat capability and cooperation between the participating units within the allied context.
