From Tuesday, January 14, to Friday, January 17, 2025, the opening of the annual Meeting “Allied Maritime Shipping Group and Naval Cooperation and Guidance for Shipping (NCAGS) & Allied Warning Navigational Information System (AWNIS) Training Coordination Advisory Team [AMSG/NATCAT]” took place at the Armed Forces Officers’ Club. The event, organized by NATO Shipping Centre (NSC) and hosted by Hellenic Navy for the year 2025, marked the beginning of its proceedings.
The Meeting was attended by representatives from NATO member states, the NSC, as well as Staffs from Hellenic Navy General Staff and Fleet Headquarters. During the session, discussions focused on lessons learned, operational developments, and best practices regarding the cooperation between the Alliance’s naval component and the maritime community. The aim was to ensure freedom and safety of navigation and maritime transport security on a global scale.
