History

The ship belonged to the category of small water tankers. She was built in Hamburg – Germany in 1963 for German Navy. Received, by an echelon committee, of Hellenic Navy on 28-02-1991. Official receipt, hoisting of the Greek Flag and inclusion in Hellenic Navy under the name HS TRICHONIS. She was made on 03-09-1991. The ship was given the name TRICHONIS from the homonymous lake located in the Prefecture of Etoloakarnania. On 27-08-2021 she changed type to Oil Tanker with the name IRIDANOS.
