Crest
The crest of HS NTEGIANNIS depicts a seagull above the waves, symbolizing the speed and agility of the ship. It signifies the deep connection with the sea and the seamanship of its crew and Officers. The two weapons (the missile and the torpedo held by the seagull) symbolize the combined firepower of the ship, as it can fire both HARPOON guided missiles and SST-4 torpedoes.

History
Lieutenant Ilias Ntegiannis was born at 22nd of December 1912 and was an Officer of the Hellenic Royal Navy. He died during the Axis Occupation of Greece after being captured and tortured by the German Forces at the 18th of June 1943, for being the leader of the resistance group “PROMETHEUS”.
