History

The torpedo boat ”PIGASOS” P-199 was received from BOATSERVICE’s Norwegian MANDAL Shipyards on 12 April 1967 and after completing personnel training she departed for Greece on 19 June 1967.

She arrived at the Salamis Naval Station on 11 July 1967 and since then she has been a unit of the Greek Navy.

In 1986 the retrofitting of the propulsion system was started. The DELTIC NAPIER main engines were replaced by two MTU 331 12V TC 81 engines with a power of 1225 HP at 2340 RPM with ZF BW 255 reducers.
