On Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April 2024, the Hellenic Naval Academy participated in the traditional Naval Academies Regatta and the Italian Cup during the International Sailing Week, with “TRIDENT 16” class boats, in Livorno, Italy.
35 crews from 30 countries around the world participated in the races. Hellenic Naval Academy participated with the following team:
- Major Christonikos Gianniris (Leader of Mission and coach).
- Naval Cadet Vissarion Pappas (crew)
- Naval Cadet Spyridon-Eleftherios Papanikitas (crew)
- Naval Cadet Georgios Liotsis (crew)
The crew of the Hellenic Naval Academy won the first place in the Naval Academies Regatta for the second consecutive year and the first place in the Italian Cup, receiving particularly favorable comments for their performance and overall presence.
