From Wednesday 13th to Friday 15th, January 2021, the national exercise of the Hellenic Submarine Command “PERISKOPIO” was held in the sea area of the Myrtoan Sea and Cyclades, with the participation of Submarines as well as ships of the Frigates Command, Fast Boats Command and Helicopters of the Navy Aviation Command, during which the submarine “KATSONIS” successfully conducted an exercise torpedo firing against a surface target.
The aforementioned exercise was carried out in the framework of the annual operational training program of the Hellenic Navy, in order to maintain and enhance the operational readiness and combat capability of the participating units, with emphasis on torpedo firing procedures, tactics and techniques.
