On Thursday, June 4, 2026, the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras HN, awarded the crew of the Hellenic Naval Academy, that secured first place in the International Sailing Competition “VIII International Regatta of Las Anclas.”
The event was held at the facilities of the Spanish Naval Academy in Marín, from Wednesday, April 22, to Sunday, April 26, 2026.
A total of 11 crews from 4 countries around the world participated in the competition, with the crew of the Hellenic Naval Academy competing in “GABA 16” class boats
