On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, took place the ceremony of handing over – receiving the duties of Commander in Chief of Hellenic Fleet, from Vice Admiral Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras ΗN, to Vice Admiral Polychronis Koulouris ΗΝ, at Salamis Naval Base.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikos Dendias, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Ioannis Kefalogiannis, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS) General Dimitrios Choupis, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff (HAGS) Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff (HAFGS) Lieutenant General Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, the Chief of the Fire Brigade Lieutenant General Theodoros Vayas, Honorary Chiefs of the General Staff and the Armed Forces, members of the Supreme Naval Council, Senior officers, retired members of the Navy, as well as other guests.
