On Thursday 31 August 2017, frigate HS SALAMIS of the Hellenic Navy and its organic helicopter (S70, Aegean Hawk) participated in an exercise with the destroyer ITS LUIGI DURAND DE LA PENNE of the Italian Navy, at the area of the central Aegean Sea.
The exercise enhanced the operational capabilities and readiness of the units and promoted the cooperation and mutual understanding among participants.
During the annual Summer Training Trip of the Italian Naval Academy, the destroyer ITS LUIGI DURAND DE LA PENNE visited the port of Piraeus, from 28th to 31th of August 2017.
